The Singapore government came up with this
initiative called SkillsFuture which is aimed to strengthen the skills of
Singaporeans and equip them with advanced knowledge. The government has come up
with this unique endeavour to educate its citizens through SkillsFuture courses
which make them capable of handling different industrial challenges globally.
Any Singaporean who is over 25 years old is qualified
for SkillsFuture Credit amount. Amounting to S$500, this SkillsFuture
Credit can be used by the citizens to pay their course fees.
This credit amount can be used to pay for
specific programmes such as:
·
Courses that are offered by MOE-funded Post Secondary Education
Institutions
·
Selected courses at LASALLE College of the Arts and Nanyang
Academy of Fine Arts
·
Courses subsidised by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency
(WDA)
·
Courses subsidised by other public agencies
By helping the citizens with this credit
amount, the government aims to encourage the people of Singapore to take up
such courses to secure their future. By successfully using this credit amount,
students can complete their skills-based courses and apply for lucrative job
roles.
The young talents of Singapore prefer to
take admission for such courses because these courses are composed based on the
needs of the industry. These are practice-based and task-based courses which
help the students learn better.
In addition, these are formulated to suit
the busy lifestyles and daily schedules of the corporate executives. Considering
these advanced learners have stringent deadlines to meet at their offices and
frequent meetings to attend, these flexible skills-centric courses prove to be
of huge help to them. Since the class timings are not fixed, students can take
up the classes, depending on their convenience. For instance, if a student is
comfortable to take up the classes during the evening, the institute will
tailor-make the classes accordingly.
This apart, the courses are also offered
online. This makes it a lot easier for the participants to pursue these courses.
All they require is a computer and an Internet, and they are good to go. Institutes
provide training materials in CD's and pen-drives. The students can play them in
their laptops and study from there. To add to that, participants can also seek
help from the trainers online. They can speak to their instructors online to
clarify their doubts. They can learn from videos, audios and presentations
provided to them by the institute. Depending on the suitability of the
learners, the trainers even provide special online classes during the weekends
for further assistance.
So, if you want to accomplish your business objectives and develop your career, enrol yourself for one such course. Whether you are taking up SkillsFuture, maritime, customised or online business management courses, take admission at an institute which offers task-based learning methods. This enables you to get a good grip over your subject.
