In Singapore Polytechnic (SP) PACE Academy, employers/hosting companies play their roles offering Attachment (also known as Practicum) after participants complete all required certificates in respective SGUS programmes. The duration may range between 1 to 3 months depending on programmes registered based on six (6) emerging sectors namely InfoComm Media, Built Environment, Social Service, Manufacturing, Sea Transport and Cross-sectoral Emerging Skills
During the attachment organisations introduce trainees the rules and guidelines of working. The trainees shall work for not more than 44 hours a week. Any extra hours, will be done via to provide an alternate day leave or pay for the extra day. In addition, in the event if companies find the trainees suitable for hire, they can do so during the attachment or immediately after the practicum completes.
